About Solutronic AG

Founded in 2004, Solutronic develops and distributes transformerless, grid-connected inverters for photovoltaic systems. Inverters transform direct current produced by solar modules into alternating current, as is standard in power grids. Solutronic does not manufacture the products it develops itself, but instead outsources to electronic manufacturing services (EMS) with headquarters in Germany.

The company is based in Köngen near Stuttgart and sees itself as one of Germany's leading providers of grid-connected inverters for photovoltaic systems in terms of quality and technology.

In the period from 1 January 2008 to 30 September 2010, the company sold around 18,800 inverters with an AC nominal capacity totalling approximately 96 MW. The inverters, with capacities ranging from 2.5 kW to 30 kW, are software-controlled which enables innovative processes for monitoring and communication. They also boast high efficiency levels of up to 98 percent and low error rates.

With its strong development expertise, innovative business model and comprehensive quality management, Solutronic considers itself to be in an excellent position to systematically expand its share in the global inverter market.
