These inverters are suitable for installation in small and medium-sized systems. They feature high yield, an integrated communication platform, durability and safety. These inverters cover nominal AC power ratings from 2.5 – 5.5 kW.
Even when insolation is low, these inverters start feeding current generated by the solar cells into the public power supply system. An intelligent program trips the start mechanism even when the voltage is low, enabling even the last rays of sunshine in the evenings to be utilised.
Low intrinsic consumption
The inverters' low intrinsic consumption of less than 9 W means an installation's yield is utilised to the maximum. The display's intelligent standby mode also helps reduce their intrinsic consumption
The SOLPLUS inverters' 97% European efficiency rating puts them among the very best units on the market. Their efficiency curves are very good across all the different input voltage ranges
MPPT controller: fast and direct
A high-precision MPPT controller ensures precise control of the inverter, with the optimum operating point of the SOLPLUS being set right down to the millisecond.
Yield monitoring at a glance
The status LED indicates the status of the inverter at a glance. The basic menu shows the most important yield and system data on the display. Furthermore, the yield logger and freely programmable data logger and the Expert menu provide all other data required.
SOLPLUS inverters are available in variants for all operating conditions. In the case of the IP21 variant for indoor use, ventilation slots guarantee perfect cooling of the inverter components. All ports and connections are easily accessed. The IP54 ingress-protected (enclosed) units for outdoor use are equipped with a temperature-controlled fan that dissipates heat
Fault and system alarms
The SOLPLUS inverter – the heart of any photovoltaic installation – keeps everything under control. It monitors the system by means of its integral alarm and fault memory. Recurring system and device faults are stored and reported, offering comprehensive and long-term monitoring of the entire installation.
Safety and durability
Device and customer safety are distinguishing features of SOLPLUS inverters. Great care and attention is given to ensuring durability and longevity when selecting the components. All units are equipped with an AC/DC-sensitive, residual-current-operated circuit-breaker, a software-controlled ENS/MSD, and overvoltage protector on the DC and AC sides. An isolator is integrated in every single inverter to enable them to be disconnected safely at any time. What's more, every single inverter undergoes several in-production safety checks and an endurance test before shipment.
Up to 150 inverter values can be changed. Communication protocols, the date and language setting can be changed by the customer, while fitters and dealers (with different safety and password levels) can also change settings to suit installation- and/or grid-specific parameters.
Software: configuration and evaluation
The programs written and provided free of charge by Solutronic cover everything from configuration of the installation to firmware updates. SOLPLANT provides all necessary information and guidance in selecting the right SOLPLUS inverter for the installation. SOLPLUS+ is a powerful program that allows users to evaluate the yield data and visualise them in the form of graphs/charts. And to round things off, SOLBOOT offers simple assistance for updating the system firmware. All these applications are available for download or on CD for free.
Integrated and optional communication
SOLPLUS 25 – 55 inverters offer a multitude of connection options: Ethernet, RS232 and RS485 connectors can be connected up directly. Several inverters can be networked using RS485 connections and can then be called up easily by means of a master (inverter or PC). Remote monitoring is a function that can be implemented by installing an analogue, GSM or wireless modem directly on the IP21 enclosure.
